may 1st is the real labour day and even tho I'm american and spelling labour british-ly; I say fuggit, I'm celebrating *imagine I'm holding a martini and hawaian shirt or something* The history of mayday is also incredibly fascinating holiday it got started in the very late 1800's as a part of the fight for the 8 hour work day; which I'd say that we gotta push that number down to 6 or 4 at no cost to pay and a four day work week now but it was revolutionary in its time. Supported by the american federation of labour and a commemoration of the heymarket affair
