So I became undead and in the throws of the underworld I decided to train for not being undead no more... Now at this point I don't know if I'm going to start submitting art regularly to this page again or not. The stuff I've been doing on this Deviant art page the past couple of days just might be a passing fancy. I genuinely don't know yet. But I do know that in the year of 2016 improving my writing is one of my major 2016 goal thingies. What better way to kick that off than to write a deviant art journal entry.
A lot has happened since the last post I put up on this page almost over two years ago. Where do I begin? I've got my own personal website now, it's a word-press website which I know can be customized almost to infinity but honestly finding stuff to write on there is always a little bit difficult. I'm starting to think that I need a good context to write well. Earlier this year I got my first email list recipient and wow did that ever put a charge into learning how to write well. It was an exciting "oh shit"
moment when I realized that I had actually had to write to somebody who I knew was on other end. Oh yea I also have an email list after writing to somebody specific I discovered through asking people to join my email list what it meant to not only share my thoughts but also how to make My writing look like I care about it instead of writing down the thoughts and slap dashing it up on some website somewhere; granted that's kinda what I'm doing right now but it's also been a while and I have more to say to you since it's been as long as its been.
earlier this year the coolest thing happened to me and that is channel Frederator approached me to join their multi-channel network on youtube. Please note this isn't something I'd normally recommend. But Frederator has always been an innovator in the cartoon world and While there was talk of getting paid, access to a community of other animators was the real gold. I'm sure you could imagine my fan girling when that happened. Having worked so hard for so long to even get a foot into something animation related was THE highlight of my whole year. My youtube channel's definitely benefited from that too, I think i joined with a bout 230-ish subscribers and I'm now at 320 subscribers right now, and my channel's starting to make some money now too, well sort of but that's a topic for another time.
I've gone through a number of job changes In the past two years too, I think I was still working at the museum, since then I've been a barista, a factory worker(bleh), a freelance illustrator, a freelance teacher believe it or not, an independent contractor both as a beef jerky truck driver and as a CNC machinist, an ice sculptor and finally a factory worker....dang but this time its through steel case which pays at least a living wage. However my hopes and dreams are to start my own business around the tutorials I've been making for just forever now.
Now if you do Remember my last post you may remember talking about an animated series I was working on, and if you've seen some hints about it being super tough, well because it was super tough. I did finish an episode and a half, so I sort a succeeded.
whelp I'll be writing to ya some more, about life...maybe
